The Firehouse, at 414 French Street in Erie, Pennsylvania, was originally constructed in 1908 as the home of Engine Company No. 1 and Hook and Ladder Company No. 2. After serving as a firehouse until 1979, it was converted into the Pufferbelly Restaurant, which operated from 1984 to 2015. Erie Insurance purchased the building in 2015 and two years later, following extensive renovations, it reopened as the Erie Insurance Event Center at the Firehouse. The Firehouse blends the functionality of a two-story space for meetings and conferences with historical preservation and local art.
