I studied art and architecture in college and earned my Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies. After working in the Architectural field for many years, I have returned to my passion which is creating art.
I paint to express myself, to share with others what I find interesting and beautiful. My work is inspired by nature, architecture and sometimes objects/still life. Most of my paintings are abstract or somewhat impressionist. I hope to create pieces that are very unique but familiar at the same time, conveying the beauty and joy that inspired me.
I am drawn to the organic lines and patterns of nature, and the geometric forms in the built environment. I love to look beyond the landscape and see just the shapes or shadows, then create multiple sketches to see in there's an interesting composition. I like to chose colors not always based on reality, but to reflect a mood or a feeling.
