Created from: Pearls From Many Seas, published 1902. Inscription: “To Milly from Fred as a remembrance of our trip together to California July 17th – 26th, 1941”. This book has many spiritual writings and so a lamb seemed to be the perfect familiar. The inscription reminded me of looking through old family albums and so I added the classic decorative border of vintage snapshots. In the back ground is the bell tower of the San Diego Mission, which I can only assume Milly and Fred went to see. I don’t think they were romantically involved, maybe they were brother and sister, cousins or just good friends.
