There is no mistaking the artwork of Emma Knight - musing, moody, and quirky. After living and painting in Savannah, Georgia for twenty years, Knight has returned to her hometown of Richmond, Virginia and is thrilled to paint its cityscapes as well as neighboring landscapes. More recently, Knight has begun a series of abstract paintings.
She paints using the "indirect method" a slow process, which involves building many layers of paint. For the past decade, she has been using water-mixable oils in an attempt to be friendlier to the environment.
Emma Knight's work has appeared in national shows and galleries, and has been commissioned and collected by folks all over the world.
