Flowers, I believe, are one of God's precious gifts - little bursts of colour that can't help but cause us to smile. A reminder that there are still beautiful things in the world.
The little yellow banksias take me back to the sea, my happy place. Mimicking the beautiful golden sand of my country's beaches, always against the sea-blue of the Australian sky, I can almost hear the rush of the tides washing back and forth along the shoreline.
