Elena Gregoriou
Nicosia
Multimedia artist exploring the space between 2D and sculpture, using layered texture and colour to reflect a personal journey of self-discovery and life.
MessageElena Gregoriou is a multimedia artist whose practice moves between two-dimensional and sculptural forms. A self-taught artist for over a decade, she uses her work as a means to express, document, and make sense of her lived experiences. Her creative journey is deeply tied to self-exploration as a woman, a mother, and an observer of the world around her.
Elena’s artworks are recognised for their heavy textures, layered colours, and an organic visual language inspired by nature. While her process often serves as a way to navigate life’s challenges, her pieces radiate a sense of calmness and quiet optimism. Through this balance, she invites viewers into a tactile, intimate, and reflective visual experience.
Statement
My work is deeply shaped by my surroundings—the colours of the land and sea, the shifting atmospheres of place, and my lived experiences as both a mother and an explorer of life.
Art has become my way of connecting with the world: a means of reaching others through the emotional resonance of my work, and through sharing my process to help people access their own creative selves.
Creating is also how I make sense of my inner landscape. Through each piece, I navigate my feelings, memories, and experiences, engaging in an ongoing journey of self-exploration and acceptance.
My practice is both a personal grounding and an invitation for connection—between myself, the viewer, and the wider world we inhabit.
