Elaine Chiu (b.1996, Hong Kong)

Elaine Chiu explores communities and identities of cities and states through paintings, on-location sketching and performances. She received a Bachelor's degree of Arts in Art History and Sociology from the University of Hong Kong in 2018, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in International and Public Affairs (MIPA) at her alma mater. Elaine Chiu was enlisted in Forbes' 30 Under 30 Asia list (2023) and selected for the 14th National Art Exhibition of China (2024). Her works are included in the permanent collections of The University Museum and Art Gallery, The University of Hong Kong (UMAG, HKU); Pucheng Art Museum/ Fan Di’an Museum; K11 Art Foundation; Société Générale and Cathay Pacific. Her publication “Before Memories Expire: Hong Kong Cityscape Aesthetics and Impressions” was published by Chung Hwa Publishing in 2023.
