Elaine Sutton is a multi-disciplinary artist working in ceramics, photography, and sculpture. Her personal aesthetic practice is shaped by fluid movements in which form and fragility intertwine. 

Exploring the delicate balance between the natural and the man-made, she often combines found and discarded objects with hand-built forms to create ephemeral and grounded installations.

Her work fluctuates between figuration and abstraction, allowing space for ambiguity and personal interpretation. Inviting viewers to contemplate the instability of our environments with the enduring patterns of nature. In doing so, she hopes to encourage a sensory experience and question what it means to hold, let go, and observe.
