I was born in November 1982 in "Lloret de Mar" (Catalonia,Spain) My family is made of seawater and sand, on the one hand they was fishermen and on the other hand they was in hostelry. From a very young age I have had two traits that I have retained to this day: creativity and sensitivity with the suffering of the other animals. One expressed it as a cartoonist and inventor and the other appeared in a form of cry when for example I read William Faulkner book "The Bear" or I watched the film "White Fang". As a child, I had a very strong connection with the first family pet, "Leca", she was a Dóberman female who welcomed me as her child. I also looked books and documentaries by Felix R. de la Fuente and Jackes Costeau. These two facts recorded in me the love for wildling. When I was eleven I entered in the Catalan Scouts of my town, it was a family tradition, and on those trips to the forest I developed a primary comfort for the natural environments and learned the value of respecting them and a kind of equality between its inhabitants and myself.
The first studies in Art were in Barcelona at the age of eighteen. Graphic arts at the "Joso" comics school and sculpture at the "La Massana" school of arts and crafts. In the midst of this seven-year study period, the city rocks me and I need to reconnect with the natural environment, so I move for a year to the Pyrenees and by guiding sporting activities I remember the joy I felt as a child.
I could stay in the Pyrenees but Art continued passionating me and cities like Rome and Florence told me great stories about architecture, painting and especially sculpture, specifically Michelangelo's work made me so vibrate that I decide to go to the Academy of Fine Arts in "Carrara" (Italy) to study sculpture in its entirety. There I met what I consider my living masters: Fabrizzio Lorenzani, Tony Cassanelly and Aron Demetz. They are leaving me and they are still doing me a great deal today in terms of technique and concept.
After four years of studying in Italy and one in Granada, by 2015, I decided to open my first studio and make my first personal exhibition in "Argentona" (Barcelona).
Since then the reflection and denunciation of violent human action that degrades life has been my recurring theme.
In the Up-to-date I live and work in "Sant Hilari Sacalm" (Girona) in the middle of the "Guilleries" mountain range, where I can combine two of my passions: the wild environment and Art.
Statement
I consider myself a visceral artist with an impulsive practice. I denounce the matter of the violence with which human beings punish themselves and relate to life and the environment. I am struck by the intuition that the denaturalization of humanity is the cause and I agree with the thesis that the anthropocentric worldview of Education destroys the link with the biosphere and displaces us. It is therefore important to develop diplomacy with "the wild", to assume responsibilities and learn to coexist with other species recognizing their right to a dignified life. The best artistic material is the darkness that hides the social individual, irrefutable proof of the harsh reality and neurosis caused by the repression of the wildness that we carry inside.
Despite the strong base of traditional drawing and sculpture acquired in Barcelona and Carrara, I feel the need to transgress the industrial orthodoxy with unprocessed materials or less polluting options, thus reworking ancient processes in the "modus" of alchemical performance with the aim of finding the own and innovative aesthetic language I am interested in giving sensitivity to all those traces of human violence and I play to exchange these marks between subjects in order to intensify and connect actions and meanings, for this reason I have a predilection for the use of supports and discarded materials with obvious signs of a past life
