This is the way the bridges looked when I was a kid in Santa Cruz in the 1960s. It's jarring to see the drastic changes nature has made to this local esteemed landmark. I have good and bad memories of this location but it still holds a special place in my heart. The Monarch butterflies swarming close by in the eucalyptus grove is also an added attraction to the area.
