This vintage painting ‘Red Mist’ was created at The Slade Art College London while I was a student there for 3 years, during the mid to late 70’s. It was painted, on cotton duck canvas, using some of the earliest Spectrum Oil Acrylics. The method of building thin colour washes of paint was a technique used, at that time, by some established artist painters including the renowned English artist John Hoyland who was an art tutor at The Slade of Art he admired my artwork and approach. In my own words, after I created the work, ‘the painting has a magical quality about it changes depending on the light conditions’
