*1983, Düsseldorf, Germany
Julien Deiss lives and works in Copenhagen. In his works, he takes up the theme of classical drawings of Greek icons and combines them with neon colors - however, the figures depicted are never quite perfect, sometimes a head is missing, sometimes an arm. And the canvas has also been altered with scissors and thread. This is how abstraction and realism, beauty and destruction meet in his works.
Julien Deiss studied at the Academy of Art in Düsseldorf with teachers such as Siegfried Anzinger, Markus Lüpertz and Reinhold Braun. His works can be seen regularly in exhibitions and at international art fairs.
