Frank Zappa was an experimental and improvisational musician, composer, and bandleader. His work was eclectic and nonconforming, and often satirically critiqued society. He was notably pushed off stage by a jealous audience member whose romantic partner was infatuated with the musician. He suffered serious head trauma and permanent injuries his legs, back, and neck causing the tone of his voice to drop a third.
