Suzanna Mars is a national award-winning fine art photographer whose work has appeared in major exhibitions and competitions nationwide. Suzanna is a former photojournalist whose work encompassed not only news and events but also a wide range of performing arts. Inspired by the work Irving Penn did for Vogue, the Flowers series presented here exhibits the unique personalities of individual flowers using either natural or studio light. Shot with a high-resolution camera, the flower images reveal the tiniest details of their structure and their dramatic arc of blooming. Two images show the beauty of the stem and its structural relationship to the bloom.
