Suzanna Mars is a national award-winning fine art photographer whose work has appeared in major exhibitions and competitions nationwide. Suzanna is a former photojournalist whose nighttime series of images captures light in a cinematic way similar to the paintings of Edward Hopper. This series is meant to evoke a sense of impending activity that is open to the viewer's personal interpretation. The images presented here examine the natural light of the fleeting blue hour of the day, when dark has not quite yet fallen and when day has receded into the distance. This is the in-between hour, the hour when the streetlights and headlights cast sharp shadows that set the scene for the imagination to take hold.
