Statement
My work focuses around experiences navigating the world as a neurodivergent transsexual stemming from strong emotional experiences that affect my day to day. My creation process allows me to use documentation to articulate the feelings of otherness. In the past, I have documented and communicated intimacies with gender, sexuality, and mental health. A majority of my work consists of monotypes and color pencil drawings.
Currently I categorize, contextualize, and reconstruct shapes found in toys, pop culture, and media productions. I utilize color and value to change meaning while recycling composition, similar to how same situations with different stimuli can change my experience completely. My work has an obsessive nature of mark making to articulate the intensity of emotions and self soothing techniques.
