Memorial Bridge, The Limited Edition of 22
The Memorial Bridge is an early example of a 20th-century center drawbridge as opposed to the traditional turntable bridge. Built in the early 1920s, it was the second bridge connecting Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Kittery, Maine, spanning the Piscataqua River. It served its purpose until it was replaced in 2013 by a second version. The bridge is majestic in size and color and serves as a still-life.
