‘The Cove in the Wake of a Blizzard‘ was created in 2000 at Don’s studio on Chestnut Road in Ogunquit, Maine. The subject is the Island House on Adams Island after a snowstorm, looking back to Perkins Cove. The colorful winter nocturne welcomes us into a snug harbor with an open drawbridge and docked ships, surrounded by a quiet village. The parting clouds reveal the crescent moon.
