During the 1990s, Don Gorvett was seen around town recording historic Portsmouth, NH, through his larger plein air drawings. His passion for history and skill as draftsman are evident is his lifelong chosen subject of the working harbors. Many of the drawings have been sold, of which some are the studies for his large reduction woodcuts.
