The remains of the woodblock for the reduction woodcut 'Harbor Place' highlight the architectural details that are at the forefront of the finished reduction woodcut. The distance details, which include the domed spire of St. Johns Episcopal Church, have been cut out during the reduction process. Traces of the original India ink drawing are present on the woodblock.
Details include the backs to Bow Street buildings of Harbor Place and the stern of a docked fishing trawler. This image was originally conceived as the far right side of the reduction woodcut 'Salt Frieghters on the Piscataqua.'
