Study for the Galleon Mayflower II

Don drew the Mayflower II while it was being refitted at the Rocky Neck Marine Railway in Gloucester, MA. Several years later, Don created the reduction woodcut using these notes. The Mayflower II is a reproduction of the 17th-century vessel Mayflower. The reproduction was built in Devon, England, in 1956 in collaboration with Plimoth Patuxet, Plymouth, MA.
