This is the ‘Winter’ part of the bigger series that I have envisioned.
I painted many years ago a triptych called Missing Seasons. It was almost like all seasons were present on each canvas, except one… I found it interesting and exciting because it meant something was still missing that I would eventually get back to.
Each canvas of this series has a height of 100 cm and width of 80 cm. There are 4 pieces that represent winter, a season when nature goes to sleep. It is a passive period of time, as it calls for rest, pause and contemplation.
We have winter periods during our lives, when life calls us to take a pause, to observe and rest.
There is a constant flow all through the artwork, as the only constant thing in life is change. I am to bring this out with the flow that goes through even in winter.
Winter is a magical season full of potential and possibilities, I invite you to embrace al its facets.
