Rawanté Gal is a traditional, historic sport in Senegal. It is the fishing community’s national sport of the Lebou ethnicity.
The Lebou people founded the Dakar region along with most of the coastal cities and villages.
Like any race, the rowers do the best they can to win -- but every team wants to win, to be the best and get first place.
