“Fooff” is a way of separating the seed from the chaff and fragments. Foofu is the name of the round woven plate used for the separating process by creating a trampoline movement, the seed jumping up and down to create air pressure which pushes off all the chaff. Farming is a way of life with its own technique for working with seeds.
