Woolley's work in 2024 turned specifically to working with acrylics on canvas and paper. Her current work "The Abundance Collection" of fanciful, brightly colored floral images will launch in 2025. Dianna is a wildly enthusiastic arts advocate with a large personal collection of US artists in her home and contributions of 10% of her own net sales to support other artists and artist groups that may benefit from financial aid.
Born in CA, Dianna spent her childhood through "short" university years in OK, subsequently living in TX, AR, NY, CT, Hong Kong, NYC, CT, and WA. Currently she is residing in Williamsburg, VA. Through extensive private tutoring and workshops, her primary art education was in realism. Now an accomplished abstract artist (multiple mediums) Dianna revels in the challenge and creative expansiveness of random marks on naked panels. To crystallize dedication to painting and to freshen her palette and technique, she has participated in month-long residencies in October '16 and '17 at NISDA (Nantucket Island School of Design & Art). In 2018, she was awarded a 3-week residency by the International Encaustic Artists organization at Castle Hill Arts Center's Edgewood Farm, Truro, MA.
Dianna is a Kipaipai Fellow having participated in juried professional artist retreats in 2017 and 2019, along with various other artist organizations such as the Cold Wax Academy, The Painting Center NYC, The Crit Lab, as well as a founding partner of the collective gallery Combine Art Collective in Walla Walla, WA.
Woolley's award winning work has been exhibited in multiple solo, invitational and juried exhibits across the US and can be seen online at diannawoolley.com, CombineArtCollective.com and in Williamsburg at Nurtured Notion - high end home furnishings establishment and The Downtown Gallery owned by Ryan Eure Designs. Dianna has most recently been accepted as an artist in Richmond, VA, The Quirk Gallery.
