Detlef Gotzens, known professionally as Dego, is a German-born Canadian artist whose career spans more than five decades across painting, sculpture, and architectural glass. Trained in Cologne, Germany, he earned the title of Master Glassmaker after extensive studies in glass technology, design, and traditional craftsmanship, establishing a foundation of technical excellence that continues to inform his artistic practice today.
