The Botanical Medallions have come about thanks to my childhood experience selling cut flowers in a market square with my Mother in the 50's and 60's. She was working for a florist and in the summer we would go early and load up a cart and walk to the market square. In those days it was very popular to buy not only flowers but potatoes, vegetables and strawberries for local vendors. 
My love for flowers has not diminished and when the beautiful floral cotton fabrics came to the stores in the 80's and 90's, it was natural for me to start sewing beautiful things, including wall hangings.
