I often drive around our city and the surrounding landscape and take photos that I can use for my artwork. The old city of Vasa burned down in 1853 and there were only a few buildings that survived. Only ruins were left of the Holy Maria church in Gamla Vasa. As a guide we always included this history in our tour of the city.
