Gamla Vasa Ruinerna. The old City of Vasa burned down in 1852 and very few stone houses remained. Most of the Virgin Mary church interior was in flames and only the stone walls were spared.
I usually take my own photos of places or landscapes or flowers that I want to depict in my Framed Art series. This is a common view of the old ruins in Old Vasa. It was always exciting to get on the bicycle and bring a picnic and bike out to the ruins. There are other hills around and there were fun to play hide and seek and roll around the grass lawns in the summer. In the winter, the hills provide wonderful play areas for kids.
