I had the notion to take one of my photos of a flower and have it printed onto fabric. I then cut up the fabric in vertical strips and re-arranged the pieces into a new image. It was important to create some kind of energy flow with the new image and then find a way to piece everything back together. I found that the best way was to use a black background and experiment with the strips back and forth to see which image would emerge. Not only did I see the new image, I saw the energy I wanted and the composition against the black was successful.
The Re-mix came about because I wanted to add more texture and a contemporary look to the wall hanging.
