This small art quilt was mainly sewn with batiks but I found an interesting commercial cotton that had such an interesting design with turquoise spots which gave it life and energy. As a contrast I had some purple silk like fabric and I thought that inserting some black and white checkered pieces would add visual interest to the design. I seldom use yellow edging but in this case it seemed the perfect choice. I gave this artwork to my doctor who had been very supportive throughout my brief illness and because he needed some colors in his home office.
