Hand-dyed fabrics can be quite exciting in themselves and need very few embellishments to enhance the design or the colors. The soft pastels evoked the first soft colors of trees in autumn. I had a fabric photo of some birch bushes by the water and it was so lovely that I decided not to do too much more except som machine stitched decoration on a ribbon which would frame the image. Just this year I decided to add some texture to the artwork by crocheting a ribbon, some leaves and a few roses. This feature adds a nice dimension to the photo I think.
