"Dangerous Waters" is from the Women in Mythology series, these narrative works explore happier endings for women in myth and legend. Other titles in the series include "Leda's Caribbean Vacation', and "Ophelia Reconsiders".
The working title of "Dangerous Waters" was "Sobek's wife goes to Miami." Sobek was the Egyptian crocodile God of the Nile. This piece depicts Sobek's wife with an American alligator... The new title became "Dangerous Waters," a nod to the sometimes swept away navigation of romance.
