Deep Beneath Her Dreams was born out of a sense of curiosity about what lies beneath the surface of our waking life.

As I painted her, I felt like I was exploring the space between consciousness and the dream world, that place where we’re no longer awake but not fully asleep either. Her closed eyes represent the trust we need to place in ourselves when we dive deep into our subconscious or spiritual journey.

The swirling, darker tones reflect that mysterious space - where things might seem unclear, yet hold profound wisdom. There’s a stillness in her face, an acceptance that she’s exactly where she needs to be, deep within her own dreamscape. The flashes of light within the darkness feel like moments of insight or clarity that emerge when we allow ourselves to go deep enough. I wanted to convey that although the journey into the subconscious can feel dark or uncertain, there’s always a light guiding us, illuminating the truths we need to see.
