“Healing Waters” was painted in response to the pain many people feel as a result of unkindness of others. This is a problem that really bothers me, especially for children and teenagers and the marginalized people in our society. Unkindness is the calling card of people who are scared, hurting and self obsessed. Love is the only solution to this problem. This painting is a reminder to me to be kind to everyone because I don't know what situations people might be going through. Eye contact, a smile, holding the door open, a kind word, a sincere compliment...small things for sure...but they could change someone's feeling of isolation to one of hope. We humans all need attention, love, and to see our value in someone else eyes. I believe God uses our small acts of kindness as healing waters for those who are hurting. Love and kindness...pass it on!
