The main image is a 4-petaled red lotus; 4 represents stability, which is needed to feel safe as an embodied human. Red, a slower frequency on the color spectrum, connects with the Earth element, represented here by descending roots. Akin to root interception, one method by which a plant/flower obtains nourishment from the ground, humans can ground themselves by envisioning themselves rooting deeply into the Earth. ‘Grounding’ helps pull us into our body, and be a master within the physical realm of life. The gemstones interwoven with the roots are Unakite (for stability during growth/change) and Black Tourmaline (absorbs negative energies). When meditating with this mandala, one can orient its presence at the base of the spine/pelvic floor – the root chakra.
