During the lockdown of Covid, questions of working with what I had and that perhaps it would go on and on were unnerving. Art settles things. I pulled out old, finished paintings to add to or change. Like the cave painters re-doing the images on their walls by painting on top of them, I figured I would be all set with the materials and still unsold older art I had in my then locked down studio. The cave people had only a limited amount of space in their cave. They needed help with the hunts by a positive mindset by drawing the animal with an arrow through it. I took this old painting called the Four Directions done in the 1990s when my series of webs proclaimed the importance of the new World wide web and added the objects of a crystal and a butterfly (power and spirit) to it.
