During a visit to the Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris, I was deeply moved by Monet’s Water Lily panels. That experience inspired my own interpretation, titled My Monet.

Each morning as I painted, a monarch butterfly would visit—landing on the canvas attempting to sip nectar from the painted blooms.
