The main rainforest of Brazil is the Amazon rainforest, the largest tropical rainforest on Earth, which covers over 60% of the country. This vast ecosystem is home to an incredible amount of biodiversity and is crucial for global climate regulation, although it is also threatened by deforestation. Brazil is a significant part of the Amazon basin, which extends into eight other South American countries.
