Born in Russia, Vassiloff immigrated to the United States in 1952. He settled in the small village of Sea Cliff, NY on Long Island. Sea Cliff was a popular vacation setting, and later home, for many Russian émigrés who had moved to Manhattan following the Russian Revolution. Vassiloff's paintings are in numerous private and public collections including U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY and the Museum of Dance in France.
