At Hot Springs National Park, I was inspired by the natural beauty of the area as well as the built landscape of the town. For the bridge, I was inspired by its "concrete-ness" and the hard lines and heavy object embedded in an otherwise soft and fluid landscape. I emphasized this contrast in the painting.
