This is the largest piece from Heatwole's shifting planes series. It's a very symbolic and personal work showing the archangel has come off of his sign leaving behind the word ART. This is a four panel piece that was worked on for 2 years part of that creation time was created in the semi truck that he drives professionally. On the far right side are five mailboxes symbolic for his children color coordinated with other past works that he's done about his family. On the far left side is a sign for bridle path which is symbolic for the artists path to finding his Bride and Christ via the Holy Orthodox Church (his Bride!). All the while with the desire to do his part by adopting children in need. When he and his wife met both felt this deep passion and desire to help children. Ironically Heatwole had the altered pedestrian crossing sign (the art angel) crossing printed as shirts as it was one of the first logos for his arts organization Transcendental Arts Council. Which he wore the white shirt with The pedestrian crossing sign nearly everyday for years then in 2009 The artist and his wife were identified by Congressional committee on adoption as Angels in Adoption for the state of West Virginia. Heatwole had been bestowed symbolic wings. This recognition was the greatest honor to the artist after the honor of being father to five very special people.
