This painting came straight out of my dream-sleep. Here is what happened. I was outside my studio on a warm Fall day. I was playing my flute when quite suddenly I turned into the music and rushed through and out of my flute. Colors, sounds, smells, and sensation became fantastic. The light had a golden hew. Time stood still for what seemed like hours. As the music rippled outward and began to fade, music (and my life) rushed back into my flute and reanimated me. I woke up and contemplated the many strange things I had experienced. --The background is the view from my studio.-- I chose a piano player vs a flute player as it gave me the representative elements I needed for my work.
