Memories of the exotic people & animals I’ve seen, the beauty & fragility of the places I’ve visited in my world travels, & man-made patterns & those found in nature—-all inspire my work. The mystery of other life in the universe & recognition that we‘ve had undetected interstellar visitors, often play into my abstract creations. I consider my materials & envision ways to use them to create the images & express the emotions that come with them—inventing, adding, subtracting, sometimes erasing altogether until the image is realized.
