'A Sexy Pear' and 'A Pear on Date Night' were created in 2008 as still life studies. In 2019 it was suggested to the artist that they would be great as a triptych if a third was created, and that lead to the creation of 'A Peared Whisper'. All three were created as the personification of fruit, finding their human characteristics and Daphne started to see even relationships starting to form. She almost started to see the pears as dolls that she could dress up with backdrops and pose to suggest body language.
