This rose painting is done using a limited pallet of only ultramarine blue, cadmium red, cadmium yellow, and titanium white. I started this rose painting as a demo in an acrylic floral painting workshop I was instructing. I was inspired by the warm glow of this rose blossom and continued the painting to completion because I wanted to have a recent finished painting to show my students how you can mix just about every color from the primary colors and white.
