The View Apartments "San Marcos Icons" Mural

This mural featuring icons of the city of San Marcos, Tx was commissioned for the leasing offices of "The View" apartment complex in San Marcos. Created entirely as a high resolution digital painting after a study done in acrylic it was then printed on auto body wrap vinyl for installation on the metal trailer that served as the leasing office while construction was underway. Among some of the imagery is Old Main the earliest building of what is now Texas State University, where the artist taught in the Mass Communications department for almost a dozen years; the late singer songwriter and owner of Cheatham Street Warehouse, where many of Texas's legendary musicians got their start, Kent Finlay; Mermaid sculpture, the San Marcos River, and the Texas Blind Salamander.
