Cynthia Banua is a Tampa based artist working in a variety of mediums.

A lifelong artist, Cynthia received an undergraduate degree in Art History while working for the MFA Boston and a fine art photography studio. She then pursued graduate studies in Interior Design and spent several years working in the architectural field. Her work as a designer provided her with a unique perspective on space, materials, and the ways in which aesthetics shape our daily experiences.

After many years of creating art as a hobby, Cynthia transitioned into professional art practice in 2023. She uses a variety of mediums including acrylics, oil pastels, colored pencils, watercolor, and textiles to create whimsical compositions filled with joie de vivre. At the heart of her work are bold women and the lush natural world that surrounds her.
