Figure & Face: Intro to Portrait Painting Class,
A very important and impressive addition to any artist's skill set is the ability to create a portrait from life. Come and learn the time-honored tradition and classic arrangement of artist and model in the studio. If you are new to oil painting or portraits, or think you’re not “ready”, don’t worry! The first day of class, we will go over the materials list, field questions, and have a demonstration. Drawing in charcoal is also welcome. Yes, the portrait is challenging, but don’t let that stop you! You will really learn a lot and become more confident in knowing the materials to use, the painting process, and approaches to take on nearly any subject.
