This unique artwork was created to celebrate Curtis Dickman's Paradise Valley Art Exhibition (October 2025- September 2026).
The colorful imagery of this abstract landscape painting was selected by the PV Arts Board for use in advertisements, banners, postcards, and mailings regarding the exhibit.
This painting features a series of multicolored layered, overlapping, and interdigitating silhouettes of Camelback Mountain .
The silhouettes of Camelback Mountain are depicted in layers. The silhouettes are phase-shifted, and a few of the silhouettes are reversed (left and right).
The main images provide multiple colorful perspectives of the landscape contours of Camelback Mountain. The middle of this painting also incorporates images of the Seven Summits of the world; the 7 tallest peaks on each continent; Mount Everest (Asia), Anaconcagua (South America), Mount McKinley (North America), Kilimanjaro (Africa), Elbrus (Europe), Mount Vinson (Antartica) and Mount Kosciuszko (Australia).
The artwork is a vibrant abstract composition featuring a series of undulating, wavy horizontal bands stacked vertically. Each band is divided into segments by vertical lines in bright colors. The horizontal bands are filled with distinct color blocks in bold, saturated hues, including silver, gold, blue, green, pink, purple, orange, and red, creating a dynamic contrast between the sections. The background is vivid and multilayered, which enhances the brightness of the layered shapes. The overall effect is a rhythmic and harmonious interplay of colors and forms, giving the piece an energetic and lively visual rhythm.
